Meet Jan Lloyd
Jan’s
path to becoming the barn manager of Mistover could be said to be unusual,
especially when you start out to be a pediatric physical therapist.
Jan’s list of career “hats” include an
elementary school playground hall and lunchroom monitor, the DC of the
Goldens Bridge Hounds Pony Club with Jayne Marino, one of the
World’s Oldest Working Students, and a founding member of the
Fossil’s Over Fences Society.
In 1985, Jan’s daughter began to ride with
Jayne, which began Jan’s own riding obsession and their lasting partnership.
In 2000, to everyone’s delight, Mike Paterno gave Jan an offer she could not
refuse to come to Mistover.
Jan’s irrepressible good humor, energy, and
organizational skills that would impress MacArthur, are a significant part
of Mistover’s welcoming and easy going atmosphere.
